The Woodson, African American Museum of Florida- Woodson Warriors Scholarship Fund

The history of African Americans in the St. Petersburg community and throughout the African Diaspora are the central focus of programming at the Dr. Carter G. Woodson African American Museum. The Woodson Warriors Scholarship Program’s mission is to assist local African-American students with their next level of education after graduating high school.

Found Family Collective

Our mission at Found Family Collective is to enhance the social fabric of the local queer and trans community by engaging in intergenerational programs and events that promote dignity, joy, and connectedness through an anti-oppressive lens. Through our programming, we aim to bring people together to build a more connected community of capable lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and queer folks.

The Burg Cares

#TheBurgCares is a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire health and behavioral changes amongst families and withing communities. Established in 2017, #TheBurgCares has dedicated its efforts to helping St. Petersburg residents become more aware of the health issues they’re at risk for and prevention efforts to achieve better health outcomes.

USF Foundation

The USF Foundation connects the University with donors who want to make a difference by providing private, philanthropic support to promote student success, academic initiatives, research and other strategic priorities of the University of South Florida.

Cultured Books Literacy Foundation

Cultured Books Literacy Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit. We are an arts + culture organization dedicated to nurturing a #literacylifestyle among youth through literacy based programs utilizing the arts and humanities.

Girls Rock St Pete

Girls Rock St. Pete is a non-profit dedicated to empowering girls, gender-expansive folx and women through fearless expression, artistic experimentation and collaboration. “Girls Rock” isn’t just a saying but a community-building force for good, rooted in music, mentorship and love. It’s where girls take up space, love themselves and ROCK OUT.

TIGLFF, Tampa International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival

Friends of the Festival, Inc. (FOF) is a non-profit (501c3) organization that produces the Tampa Bay International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival, which began in 1990. The first Film Festival was created as a fundraiser under the name Pride Film Festival, then in the late 1990’s became known as the Tampa International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival (TIGLFF) which has shown thousands of films.

9 Colors Initiative

9 Colors Initiative was founded in 2016 by a group of young college students with a mission to promote equity and inclusivity within the LGBTQIAA+ & allied communities in Florida. The organization was established to address social and health disparities that disproportionately affect black queer people and their families in the central west, southwest & south regions of Florida.

St. Pete Youth Farm

At St. Pete Youth Farm we create and grow as leaders, entrepreneurs, and as individuals while giving back to the community.

St. Petersburg Free Clinic

Changing Lives with Help and Hope. With compassion and respect, St. Petersburg Free Clinic changes lives by providing food, shelter and health care to our neighbors in need.

Carter G. Woodson African American Museum

The museum presents the historic voice of this St. Petersburg, Florida community from the perspective of local, regional, and national history, culture, and community.

Community Tampa Bay

We envision a community free from discrimination in which every individual is treated with dignity and respect, with regard to their race, ethnicity, nationality, sex, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, ability, faith, and or age. We empower people with the tools to have hard conversations with others who don't look like them, live like them or love like them...

Ready for Life

Ready for Life provides support, resources and guidance former foster care youth need to successfully transition to adulthood. We are a family-like community that serves, inspires and empowers young adults that have transitioned out of foster care (and their children) to be Ready for Life.

The Well for Life

The Well for Life is a Healing Space prioritizing the needs and leveraging the strengths of BIPOC. Our mission is to Connect, Engage, Equip, Empower, and Elevate through healing centered practice acknowledging legacies of trauma, resistance, and resilience. Through training and development, alliance building, advocacy, and service, we envision a community healing, liberated, and living well.

EmpowHerment

Our mission is to empower all women by fostering the skills and resources needed to obtain self-sufficiency in finances, mental/emotional wellness, and the cultivation of relationships.

Reach St. Pete

We work to prevent and alleviate homelessness, low-income, and at-risk situations by bridging the gap between people and resources.
